Chocolate is probably not the first thing that comes to mind when you think of your favourite Thai food.

Sukhumvit is one of my favourite areas in Bangkok – it’s fairly touristed, yes, but also authentically local, with high-rise office buildings, sleek condos, and a thriving food culture.

During Thailand’s Covid-19 lockdown, I lived in Phuket for two months. Since then, the island’s beauty and tranquillity – a rare escape from the buzz of Bangkok, where I’m from – have lured me back several times a year.
